Having a migraine can make life come to a halt. There are some massage techniques that can help relieve that pounding head and uncontrollable nausea. Acupressure on different parts of the face can help, by applying pressure to different facial points to release that blocked up feeling and help your head feel clearer.
Acupressure points for when a migraine attacks:
Third eye point: Using your index and point finger, press the space between the eyebrows where the bridge of the nose meets the forehead for one minute. You can either press straight on or massage the area in a circular motion.
Facial beauty point: Place your index fingers on each side of the face, where your cheekbones end near your nose and press for one minute. You can either press straight on or massage the area in a circular motion.
Glow point: situated on behind the jaws, you can reach this by moving downwards from earlobe on behind of the jaws and just below the jaw bones. Applying pressure to this point can help relax the head and neck.
Heavenly pillar point: Located on the base of the skull where your spine is attached with the head. Give pressure to this point and start to feel the ultimate head relief.
