MASSAGE THERAPIES:
 
 

Therapeutic:   A form of massage used for acute and chronic ailments.  Helps to restore function and range of motion, decrease pain and encourage healing from injury or repetitive trauma.  Therapy is based off the injury and symptoms and uses a combination of techniques that will best treat the condition. Sessions can be done in  30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes.

Deep Tissue Deep slow strokes are used to “iron out” the fascia, deep muscle layers, and tendons. It can also reduce inflammation, break up scar tissue, and take care of myofascial trigger points. Medium to deep pressure is used. This method is slow and is best used as a treatment for troubled areas rather than a full body. Sessions can be done in 30, 45,  60, 90, or 120-minute increments.

Swedish/Relaxation:   A form of western massage which combines kneading and long smooth strokes to improve circulation, reduce stress, and loosens muscles. This therapy uses light to medium pressure to bring the body back into a state of rest. . Sessions can be done in 30, 45,  60, 90, or 120-minute increments

Thai massage is a form of traditional Thai medicine rooted in Element theory. This practice of therapeutic touch focuses on working with the energy lines of the body through acupressure, rocking, rolling, pulling, compression, and assisted yoga like postures to improve problem areas and flexibility. The practice is on the mat, fully clothed and will be guided by the needs of the client. Sessions are typically 90 minutes, specifically the first treatment but will then can be tailored to 60 or 90 min sessions.

John F. Barnes Myofascial Release uses gentle sustained pressure or traction to release restrictions in the myofascial (acupuncture) meridians. Great technique for changing posture, relieving pain, increasing range of motion, and boosting the results of your acupuncture. This therapy is also known to help with emotional releases. Sessions are 60 min.

Dr. Emil Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage uses gentle pressure to move the thick fluid known as lymph towards the lymph nodes to bring balance back to what we call the immune system. Extremely important for the people who get sick often or who have had adenoids, tonsils, appendix, or spleen removed as these are detox organs of the lymph system. Sessions are 90 minutes first time and 60 minutes for follow ups. 90-minute sessions are also great at the changes of seasons when things are harder on the immune system.

Spa Services:  We also offer a few select spa services like facials, foot and hand massage, dry brushing, and mini spa package of either 30 min facial with 30 min massage or 30 min facial with 60 min massage
